Fostering a greyhound is one of the kindest (and most rewarding) things you can do. Personable and easy to spend time with, he enjoys being close to his handlers and has an endearing habit of leaning gently against you for comfort and companionship. With his kind heart and loving personality, Jed quickly wins over everyone he meets. While Jed is generally social, he can sometimes feel a little worried around unfamiliar breeds of dog, so he would benefit from thoughtful introductions and would be best avoiding off-lead parks or busy areas where dogs may rush up to him. He may suit living with polite dogs of any size who will respect his space and could also be a wonderful companion for a family with children aged 5 years and older. With understanding and support, Jed will reward his new family with loyalty, affection and plenty of gentle cuddles. Jed also may suit living with a feline friend due to his placid nature and has shown lovely interactions with them.

Spence is best suited to a home with children aged 10 and over or adults who can match her lively spirit and provide appropriate guidance. She would do well as the only dog or with a robust medium to large canine companion, but she isn’t suited to living with cats or frail, older dogs or people due to her enthusiasm. Spence will thrive in a home with a backyard where she can burn off energy and play. With the right environment, she’ll grow into a wonderfully loving and entertaining companion. She has done really well with her toilet training and got along well with the resident dog, as well as learning how to relax and sleep the day away! Nike may suit living in a home with or without another medium or large canine companion, and full time workers. Nike can be a little shy initially, so she would prefer a home with older, quieter children in a quiet home. Once she warms up to you, she can be quite personable and sometimes will even show her playful streak! Nike has a previous hock fracture, with hardware that has been removed. She isn't lame and is weight bearing.

He’s completed behavioural rehabilitation training focused on learning appropriate behaviour around other dogs, and he’s made great progress—though he’ll still benefit from a home willing to continue guiding him, especially when it comes to polishing up his manners. Frank is best suited to a home with adults or kids aged 10+, where his enthusiasm and size will be well matched. He would thrive as the only dog or alongside a medium-to-large canine companion, but he isn’t suitable for homes with small dogs or cats. Due to his energy and continued learning, he’s not the right fit for elderly households. With a bit of structure, patience, and plenty of affection, Frank will reward his family with loyalty, fun, and that unmistakable greyhound grin that makes every day brighter.

Peter is equally happy spending much of his day snoozing and relaxing, making him a wonderfully settled companion around the home. His enthusiastic personality makes him a fun and engaging companion for adopters who enjoy an interactive dog with plenty of character. Peter is best suited to a home with adults or children aged 10 and up. He can live as an only dog or with a medium to large canine companion but is not suitable for homes with cats or small dogs. Due to his size, he is not recommended for homes with elderly residents. With a loving and committed household, Peter will thrive and become a loyal and rewarding lifelong companion. Peter had a dislocated toe prior to GAP entry. He bears weight on this limb and the toe is stable and not causing pain. He also has an autoimmune eye condition called Pannus, which is well controlled with daily eye drops. Paris walks beautifully on lead once he's had a chance to burn off some excitement and enjoys taking in the world around him.
