I've always loved sight hounds. When my now husband and I were discussing getting our first dog together and suggested a greyhound, I was over the moon.

I've always loved sight hounds. When my now husband and I were discussing getting our first dog together and suggested a greyhound, I was over the moon. We already had a cat, so were looking for a cat friendly greyhound. We knew how much GAP tested their dogs, so we checked the website all the time looking for our perfect dog. Then we found her, Daphne.

She was very timid and her eyes told us that she just wanted to be loved. Fast forward almost 4 years and Daphne is still our angel. She's gone whiter around the muzzle (from too many kisses, rather than age she says) now that she is 10, but she is still our big baby. She loved our cat from the moment she came home, and when we introduced a second greyhound, she adjusted brilliantly and now must know when her buddy is at all times. Thank you GAP for trusting is with Daphne. She is perfect and has ensured that our household will always have at least one greyhound in it.

He absolutely loves toys and treats and would benefit from an adoptive home who will include him in all the day to day activities. He may suit a home with full time workers and children in their teens Angus is very special needs, he has retinal atrophy, he is looking for a special person, he has significant loss of sight now and complete vision loss over time is expected, he can learn to navigate in a stable environment and live a wonderful life with the right owners who are mindful of this. Meet Wolf! He is a young boy who can be a bit unsure of new environments and situations. Once he is comfortable, he allows his true colours to shine through and is puppyish, playful and affectionate. Wolf appears to have some issues with his vision, so he will need a special home who can manage this over the course of his life. Wolf may suit living with or without a canine pal of similar size and older children aged in their teens. Wolf has low vision, which isn't expected to get any worse. He doesn't require medication for this. He will be adopted out with a approval for a follow up appointment with an eye specialist, paid for by GAP.

Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski is an adorable pooch, just look at that cute face! Jeff is a young boy who has lots to learn about life and even though he will be turning 4 this year, he still acts like a big puppy! He can find other breeds of dog (other than greyhounds) a little scary, but we feel with a patient owner who will help him by gradually introducing him to other breeds in the right way, he will realise that other breeds of dog are just as good as greyhounds (well almost ;) ). Jeff would like a home where all the love can be showered on him and he does not have to share with another dog. Jeff is fond of the loud noises younger children can make so a home with teenagers aged 15 years and older, we believe he will do best in a home with a backyard for him to run and play in.
