Christina & Zack

We were so excited to foster Zack and see if he could be a good companion for our staffy, Phoebe.

As first time greyhound owners, we were so intrigued by Zack’s personality and demeanour, as he is so calm and quiet compared to our staffy. We quickly realised that Zack is a huge baby who just wants lots of cuddles and to be with people.

Zack and Phoebe have become an inseparable pair, like a couple of dog detectives investigating what’s happening in the kitchen. They are in many ways total opposites which has made their bond and friendship even more delightful and fun to watch.

Zack also has been the favourite of our eight year old son Conrad, who loves how inquisitive, gentle and sweet Zack is. We love our walks together and Zack is really good on the lead.

As Zack slowly got familiar with us and our home, he has showed his playful side. He is the ultimate welcoming party at the front door and his favourite thing to do is play with and munch apples from our tree! Seeing him so happy has been a true joy.

It didn’t take much time for us to fall in love with Zack and make the decision to adopt him. GAP were amazing and support every step of the way. It’s been one of the happiest and rewarding decisions we have made.

Puddles

5 years old

Puddles is not only gorgeous but after his initial enthusiasm and excitement, he settles down and is quite a chilled dog. He is a friendly boy to all he meets. Puddles loves travelling in the car and is up for many road trips with his family. Puddles may suit living with or without a canine pal of medium/large in size and children aged 10 years and older. Sorry no apartments for Puddles.

Meet the gorgeous Stella! Stella came into GAP with her sister Lumens and are both looking for their forever homes. Stella is not only gorgeous on the outside, but she is just as beautiful on the inside too! Her favourite thing are treats but her close favourite thing is her people, she shows her love for people by putting her paws up on your chest for a cuddle. Stunning Stella is looking for a home with or without a canine pal of similar size and children aged 10 years and older. Due to her active nature, she wouldn't be suitable to live in an apartment. Stella was noted to have inflammation of the sclera in her right eye. Her tear production in this eye was significantly reduced. She was started on medication to improve tear production. The tear production was recently measured as being normal

Prosper

5 years old

Meet the introverted and quiet boy, Prosper. Prosper is quite the lazy hound, after a short stroll around the block he is happy to sleep the day away. He has got a lovely shiny coat that looks glossy in the sun, just like you can see in his picture. He may be best in a home with children aged 10 years and older and may suit living with or without a canine pal of any size. He would do best in a home with a yard of any size, and we are happy to report that he can already walk up and down stairs, which some greyhound cannot.

Pickle's race name was "Golden Sunrise" but he hopes he can share his golden sunset years with you. He is a lovely, quiet, gentle old man who is perfect on lead and easy to manage. He wants to please everyone he meets and will look up at you and straight into your soul with his big brown eyes. Pickle may be happy to live in a home with children aged 5 years + as long as they are gentle with this old boy. He may suit living with or without another medium or large canine companion and full time workers. If you are looking for the perfect, experienced, and quiet boy, don't overlook Pickle! This dog is part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). We have behavioural and health assessed this lovely dog, and they will remain with their racing owners until they find an adoptive home, at which point they are brought back into GAP. This means that should you be interested in adopting this dog, we are bringing the dog into GAP on the understanding that you will be adopting this particular dog, and not other dogs currently in our care.
