Kris & Felicity

We are at the 9 month mark of having Felicity a.k.a Flick in our lives and our hearts have never felt so full.

She is a lady that loves her routines and getting her sniff filled walks each day is very important. She loves walks in drizzling rain! She has 2 siblings, Claud and Chloe, who are very senior cats and the 3 of them have settled into life together so well. They seem to love working as a team at dinner time and watch us eat very closely and reap the rewards of being so cooperative and cute.

We have seen Flick's stamina get better and better and we can adventure further with our walks, seeing new sights and trying new locations. It has been wonderful meeting other dogs in our area and attending greyhound meet ups. Flick is doing so well with socialising in group situations and making new friends. We both feel so lucky to have Flick, she is so very special- we think she is The Best Dog In The World.... but all greyhound owners feel the same.

This is Paisley, yes, she may be 6 and a half years old but that doesn't stop this pretty girl from acting like a puppy! As soon as you meet her you are guaranteed to fall completely in love with her, she has a contagious happy demeanour that you can't help to smile back at her. She loves nothing more than hanging with her people and getting all the attention. She is quite an active girl and will likely require a home that has a back yard that she can run and play in. She will also likely need mental stimulation while her people aren't around. She may be OK to live with a dog tolerant cat.

Meet Pogo, a handsome male greyhound with a big personality to match his long legs. He’s friendly, outgoing and wonderfully quirky, always ready to greet you with enthusiasm and charm. Pogo is still learning his manners and can be a bit boisterous, so he’ll thrive with confident handlers who can continue his training and help him become his best self. Pogo is best suited to a household with teens 15+ or adults, and he’ll need a secure backyard where he can stretch out and play. He can live as an only dog or with a robust medium to large canine companion, but he’s not suitable for homes with cats, apartments, or elderly residents. With the right environment and guidance, Pogo will reward you with loyalty, laughs, and plenty of greyhound love. Pogo has had irritable bowel syndrome while in our care at GAP. We have had much improvement using a specialty diet, with "inside out" powder on his food. This should be continued into his new home.

This sweetheart is a gentle giant in Greyhound form. Terrasaur may have a scary name but we promise he is a real calm smoocher. He is a chill guy that just loves people, relaxing and tries his best in everything he does. Terrasaur has recently completed some extra behaviour training and is ready to get himself into his forever home. We think he may suit homes with children 5 and over and also another canine that is medium or larger. He may even do ok in an apartment type setting.

This dog is part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). We have behavioural and health assessed this lovely dog, and they will remain with their racing owners until they find an adoptive home, at which point they are brought back into GAP. This means that should you be interested in adopting this dog, we are bringing the dog into GAP on the understanding that you will be adopting this particular dog, and not other dogs currently in our care.
