Rod & Tuppy
We thought we were not ready to adopt following our recent loss (at the time) of our dear GAP boy Mushu so we decided just to participate in the GAP Christmas Foster program.
In all honesty at the time, we had decided it was foster “only” and had prepared ourselves that the foster was going back at the end of the foster period..
There was no special request for any particular GAP grey that was going out for foster.
Out of complete random luck we were given Tuppence (Tuppy) to look after over the 3-week Christmas break.
Tuppy is a beautiful gentle natured girl who loves her walks, her shell pool (in Summer) and playing with her squeaky toys that she carries and regularly runs around the house with.
Tuppy is also a professional roacher demonstrating this fine greyhound art to us in only the first few days at our home.
In the first week we knew (& Tuppy knew) she had found her forever home as she had such an incredibly good nature and had settled in so well.
We knew there was no way Tuppy was going back!
Nearly six months only Tuppy is doing so well it is like she has been with us for a number of years.
For a quite girl (& a grey) Tuppy can be quite vocal (barking) when she gets excited or wants something (to come in or out of the house). She is a great communicator.
Very occasionally, when we ignore her she can find ways to get our attention including taking a (very) gentle nibble of our coffee table or just checking up where we are (irrespective of what room we are in!). All very cute – we love our Tuppy very much.

Meet our dogs ready for adoption
All greyhounds adopted from GAP are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health checked.

Stella

Such a pretty, sweet, polite young girl is Stella! She can be a little on the shy side at times, but we feel that she grows in confidence pretty quickly, especially is there is another dog around to show her the way. Stella may suit living with children 10+ and medium or larger male dogs. Stella would be best in a home with a nice yard to relax in and might also suit living with full time workers if there is a doggy friend around to hang out with.

Bobby

Bobby is a lovely young man, just look at his beautiful light-coloured eyes, they seem to stare into your soul. Bobby is a social, friendly and affectionate boy who is keen to move into his furever home. He may suit living with or without a canine pal of similar size and children aged 10years and older.

Leonard

Leonard is a quiet boy with a gentle nature. He can be a little unsure in new situations but quickly relaxes and comes out of his shell. He’s very pretty and has a beautiful golden coat. Lovely Leonard would likely be ok with children aged 5 or older, and he may be fine with full time workers. Due to his quiet nature he may even suit apartment living.

Nikki

Meet sweet Nikki, this little lady is incredibly sweet and would love nothing less than all your attention. Nikki would prefer to be the only poochy pal in your life so she can give you all her love and you can give her every drop of yours. She may do best in a home with teenage children or no children due to her introverted nature.
Sue

Meet the lovely Sue! Not only is she drop dead gorgeous, but she is also super sweet. She can come across as a tad shy and puppyish to begin with but doesn't take her long to let her lovely personality shine bright. She may suit living as an only dog or with a canine companion of similar size. She may suit living with children from 10 years and older. Due to her puppyish nature we don't think Sue would be suitable to live in an apartment.
Ruby Friday

Meet the gorgeous Ruby! Ruby is so sweet and soft like a marshmallow. She is only a young lady who can be a bit unsure of new situations and with new people but soon recovers and acts like a super happy pup! She loves people and enjoys a cuddle. She may suit living as an only dog or with a dog of similar size to her, hopefully a dog that will play with her! She may also suit living with children aged 10 years and older.

Lee

How handsome is this young chap! Mr Lee here is a stunning, sleek, shiny boy that is just as sweet as he is handsome. Lee is still a young one getting to know the ropes so he can be a bit silly and on the go but he does sometimes step back and take it all in. He can be a little shy in new situations but soon forgets what he was worried about and is back to his usual playful self. We think Lee may suit living with children 10+ and maybe another medium or larger companion. He has requested a backyard though please as he wants to show you his epic zoomies and play till its nap time!
