Kris & Felicity

We are at the 9 month mark of having Felicity a.k.a Flick in our lives and our hearts have never felt so full.

She is a lady that loves her routines and getting her sniff filled walks each day is very important. She loves walks in drizzling rain! She has 2 siblings, Claud and Chloe, who are very senior cats and the 3 of them have settled into life together so well. They seem to love working as a team at dinner time and watch us eat very closely and reap the rewards of being so cooperative and cute.

We have seen Flick's stamina get better and better and we can adventure further with our walks, seeing new sights and trying new locations. It has been wonderful meeting other dogs in our area and attending greyhound meet ups. Flick is doing so well with socialising in group situations and making new friends. We both feel so lucky to have Flick, she is so very special- we think she is The Best Dog In The World.... but all greyhound owners feel the same.

Arlo

Power up those ears Arlo and listen in for your new family! One way to describe Arlo is he is a bit "quirky". You think you've met most personalities of greyhound then you meet Arlo and find more things to love about the breed! Arlo is a sleek, shiny boy that is friendly and outgoing, quiet but also will get up and burst out in dance all of a sudden! He has a knack for getting his coat off and will most willingly show you how he does it and expect you to clap and cheer when he succeeds. He tends not to really care about other dogs around him but has spent time doing some socialising at GAP with the Behaviour Team so he understands how to when he does want to say hi. Arlo is a secret cuddle bug and whilst he tends to act like he is totally fine chillin by himself, he does love to have a good cuddle and scratch and be told what a good boy he is. Arlo does has a low-grade heart murmur which doesn't require medication or affect his day-to-day life. We think he may suit living with children 10+ and another medium or larger dog that doesn't need to Arlo to be their "bestie".

Cliff ARP

Cliff is the friendliest boy you could ever hope to meet – his tail just never stops wagging! He adores everyone and has such a soft coat, you’ll never want to stop patting him. Cliff adores being told he is a Good Boy. This lovely dog would likely do best in a home with a robust canine playmate and children aged 10 or older, he may do best in a home with a backyard to play in.

Bundaberg

Meet Bundaberg, or Bundy for short?! He is small for a male greyhound but has a lot of love to give. He is also a bit of a pocket rocket with his love of zoomies and playful energy! His people will be in fits of endless laughter watching this boy with his antics. He may suit living with or without a canine friend of similar size, children aged 10 years+ and this lively boy will do best in a home with a backyard.

Jeff Lebowski

Jeff "The Dude" Lebowski is an adorable pooch, just look at that cute face! Jeff is a young boy who has lots to learn about life and even though he will be turning 4 this year, he still acts like a big puppy! He can find other breeds of dog (other than greyhounds) a little scary, but we feel with a patient owner who will help him by gradually introducing him to other breeds in the right way, he will realise that other breeds of dog are just as good as greyhounds (well almost ;) ). Jeff would like a home where all the love can be showered on him and he does not have to share with another dog. Jeff is fond of the loud noises younger children can make so a home with teenagers aged 15 years and older, we believe he will do best in a home with a backyard for him to run and play in.

Bruiser

Bruiser is a big puppy in an adult body! In new environments and with new people Bruiser can be a bit unsure and seems shy, but after some reassuring pats and some tasty treats, Bruiser will be an outgoing pup and your best friend in no time! Bruiser may suit living with or without another playful pup of similar size and children aged 15 years and older. We think Bruiser will do best in a home with a backyard so he can run and play in. Bruiser has successfully completed our onsite Behavioural Rehabilitation Program and is now ready for adoption! Bruiser has an old hock fracture, which doesn't affect his day-to-day life.

Santos L. Halper

We don't know how anyone can resist these floppy ears and stunning face. Santos is a crowd favourite here at GAP and ask anyone they would have a story about him for you. Santos is a real snuggle bug and it helps that his coat is super soft and fluffy. He has some pretty unique markings as well with one looking like a love heart! Santos has spent a bit of time here at GAP as he had to have TPLO surgery for a partially ruptured cruciate, as well as a course of Arthritis injections which will need to continue throughout his life. He is now recovered and ready for his new life! We think that he would suit living as an only dog best as he is quite independent and can still be a little unsteady on his leg so a home with NO Stairs is best for him. . We also think kids 10+ would be better for him and somewhere with a yard to hang out in.

Broddie

Isn't Broddie handsome? We sure think so! He walks nicely on the lead and he loves having pats. He is a social and friendly boy. He would likely suit a home with children aged five or older, and may be fine with full time workers. Broddie has recently been through our socialisation program and has come out ready to find his forever home.

Handsome Hondo can't wait to find his forever home - is it with you? He's a confident and outgoing boy who can still get a bit excited when he meets new dogs, so he'd prefer a home with an experienced greyhound or sighthound owner. He would likely be ok with children aged ten or older, and should be fine with full time workers. Hondo has a heart murmur and comes with an approval for a follow up appointment for an echo, paid for by GAP.

Check out the antennas on this stunning girl! She has all ears on you and waiting to hear your call about taking her home to your family. Selma is a gorgeous brindle with a big white chest and those cute like grey dustings on her muzzle. She also has one other interesting feature and that’s a “party out the back!” – Yep! She has a Mohawk! Apart from all her looks, she is a true sweetheart. She loves going up to people and saying hello, her tail doesn’t stop wagging and she cant wait to find a home of her own where she will fit in like she has been there for years. Selma may be ok with full time workers and children 5 and over, she may also suit living with another medium or larger male companion.
