Zoe, Joel & Pants

It's been just over a year since we adopted our silly guy Pants (formerly known as Shadow).

He's the silliest, sweetest dog who loves showing off and snoozing in the sunshine. He already has more sets of pyjamas than we do, and loves to snuggle up no matter the temperature. He loves looking at the ocean when we go for beach walks and has settled into our home and lives beautifully. We can't wait for all the love-filled years to come with our darling boy.

He enjoys meeting new people, taking in his surroundings, and being part of the daily routine, while still maintaining the independent nature that greyhounds are known for. Moro is a relaxed and self-assured boy who is happy to spend time with his family but is equally content entertaining himself and enjoying some quiet downtime. Moro is seeking an adult-only home where he can continue to thrive and enjoy a stable lifestyle. He is not suited to living with children or elderly residents. Moro could be placed as an only dog, where he can enjoy all the attention to himself, or with a compatible medium to large dog following a successful introduction. Having successfully completed behavioural rehabilitation, Moro is ready for a fresh start with an adopter who understands his needs and will support his ongoing progress. Due to his history, he cannot live with small dogs, cats, or other small animals. With the right home, Moro will make a loyal and rewarding companion.

When he's feeling excited, Cowboy has a quirky habit of gently mouthing hands as a way of expressing his enthusiasm. It's a playful and endearing behaviour, never intended to be rough or aggressive. Cowboy has experience living indoors and comes crate trained and toilet trained, making him well prepared for life in a home. He can be enthusiastic when heading out for a walk, but once his initial excitement has passed, he settles nicely and walks well on lead. Cowboy may suit a home with or without a canine companion of a similar size and would likely enjoy living with older children in their teenage years. This friendly boy loves making eye contact, as if he’s checking in with you to say, “Did you see how awesome I am just then?” Frank brings a big personality wherever he goes, paired with a genuine affection for people and a zest for life. He’s completed behavioural rehabilitation training focused on learning appropriate behaviour around other dogs, and he’s made great progress—though he’ll still benefit from a home willing to continue guiding him, especially when it comes to polishing up his manners. Frank is best suited to a home with adults or kids aged 10+, where his enthusiasm and size will be well matched. He needs a medium-to-large canine friend, as he loves companionship, but he isn’t suitable for homes with small dogs or cats. Due to his energy and continued learning, he’s not the right fit for elderly households. With a bit of structure, patience, and plenty of affection, Frank will reward his family with loyalty, fun, and that unmistakable greyhound grin that makes every day brighter.

Oh Sweet Tiger, you are such a gentle soul that wants nothing more than a patient home and lifetime supply of twiggy sticks and ear rubs. Tiger has come a long way since starting his GAP journey and recently came back from foster care where he learnt a lot of new things and found some confidence in his time. Tiger has come back with a newfound confidence, and we are so thrilled how far he has come, whilst he still has times where he is unsure, he tries his very best. We think Tiger may suit living in a home with or without another dog medium or larger and children 15 and over. He will do best in a home with a backyard in a nice quiet area as loud noises and lots of traffic are still very scary for him. Tiger may suit living with full time workers. Tiger has anxiety and is on medication to help with this.

Nace ARP

Nace may be one of the happiest greyhounds you will ever meet! She is so sweet, personable, and affectionate - she just wants to be in your pocket! She can be playful and puppyish at times, but that just adds to her funny personality! She may be happy to live with or without another medium or large canine companion and children aged 10 years and over. She may even suit living with full time workers.

This greyhound is part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). Through this program, greyhounds stay with their current owners while they wait to find their perfect forever home.

If you're interested in adopting this dog, we'll arrange for them to come into GAP specifically for you to meet and complete the adoption process. Since the dog is being brought into the program based on your interest, we ask that applicants be reasonably confident this is the greyhound they'd like to welcome into their family. Unlike our standard adoption process, you won't be able to meet multiple dogs at the same time however our team will share lots of information about this greyhound to help you determine if they're the perfect match for your family.
