Lisa & Sunny

I just wanted to let you know that Sunny our beautiful greyhound has been the most wonderful addition to our family.

She’s funny, goofy, loving and gentle. Our kids love seeing her zoom around the garden and snuggled up on the couch.I’m so happy we chose to adopt a greyhound through GAP, it’s been the best decision ever! She has settled into house life well and uses her dog door with ease, only had a few accidents inside and learns so fast.

Scout

5 years old

Scout is a handsome blue boy with a quiet, gentle nature. He’s sweet and a little introverted, happy to take things at his own pace. He can be a little submissive at times but is also independent. One of his cutest quirks is his adorable helicopter tail wags. Scout may suit a home on his own or with small, medium or large dogs, and could be suitable to live with children aged 5+. He may also be suited to apartment living or an elderly owner. Scout has a tiny chip of bone in his left hock that requires no treatment right now and doesn't stop him from moving freely. He will benefit having some arthritic supplements over his lifetime in the home.

Riff

5 years old

Riff is a handsome blue boy with a quiet, calm and gentle nature that is as striking as his good looks. Friendly, personable and genuinely affectionate, this sensible and polite boy has a wonderfully easy, undemanding way about him that makes him a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Well-behaved on the lead and happy to take life at a relaxed pace, Riff is the kind of dog who brings a sense of calm and warmth to any environment he finds himself in. Riff is a beautifully adaptable boy who could suit a wonderfully wide range of homes and lifestyles. He may be happy as an only dog or could enjoy the company of a canine companion of any size, and his gentle, sensible temperament means he could potentially share his home with children aged 10 years and older. His calm and easy-going nature also makes him a particularly thoughtful match for elderly owners or those in an apartment setting — because sometimes the most perfect companion is simply one who is quietly, contentedly there. He may also be happy living with cats. Riff has a low grade heart murmur, commonly seen in greyhounds. It is not causing him any issues or clinical signs at present and most greyhounds live a happy normal life with these low grades. It would be best to keep up regular health checks with your vet.

Wriggles

4 years old

Meet Wriggles — a gentle, laidback greyhound who has mastered the art of taking life easy. This friendly boy is happiest when he’s lounging nearby, soaking up the calm, and occasionally wandering over to lean affectionately into his favourite people. Wriggles has a relaxed, easygoing nature and a soft, sweet presence that makes him a joy to be around. Having completed behavioural rehabilitation training, he’s developed into a well-mannered companion who thrives in a peaceful, predictable environment where he can simply be himself (preferably somewhere comfy). Wriggles would suit a home with kids aged 5+ or adults who appreciate his quiet, “lazy Sunday” approach to life. He can happily live as an only dog or with a medium-to-large canine companion who shares his calm energy, but he isn’t suitable for homes with small dogs or cats. Due to his size and tendency to lean in close for affection, he’s not suited to living with elderly individuals. If you’re looking for a friendly, low-key companion who will happily keep you company and remind you to slow down and enjoy the simple things, Wriggles might just be your perfect match.

Tallulah

7 years old

Meet Tallulah — part elegant supermodel, part delightful goofball, and full-time professional cuddle enthusiast. She’s the kind of greyhound who can glide along the footpath with effortless grace one minute, then burst into joyful zoomies the next. Sweet, social, and wonderfully outgoing, Tallulah greets everyone like an old friend and carries herself with the confidence of a dog who knows she’s absolutely fabulous. She’s also a dream on lead, making walks together feel more like a stylish stroll than a workout, and she loves nothing more than sharing her affectionate, gentle nature with the people around her. At home, Tallulah is the perfect mix of playful and relaxed, happily entertaining herself before settling in for some well-earned couch time (preferably with a blanket and your company). She may suit a home with children aged 10+ who can appreciate her loving personality, and she’s likely to adapt well to full-time workers thanks to her easygoing nature. With her calm indoor vibe and love of comfort, Tallulah could also thrive in apartment living. All she really needs is a cozy spot, a bit of daily fun, and a family who’s ready to welcome a charming, affectionate companion into their lives. Tallulah currently has a medium hygroma (fluid filled/painless sac that cushions elbow joints) on her right elbow. With soft bedding and avoiding hard surfaces, these reduce and can resolve.
