Easter Foster Campaign

Been thinking about adopting a greyhound but not quite sure? Or simply just want to enjoy some greyhound company over Easter? GAP is holding our annual Easter Foster Campaign in March/April!
Looking for a furry friend to join in the fun over Easter? Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) is on the lookout for kind-hearted individuals to open their homes and hearts to a greyhound—just for three weeks!
What's Provided?
As an Easter foster carer, you'll provide a place for a greyhound to rest and work on their pet skills while they wait for their forever home. We’ll supply everything your greyhound needs during their stay, including: A GAP lead, martingale collar, a muzzle (wire or plastic), kibble, and ongoing support from our foster, behaviour, and veterinary teams
All you need to provide? A comfy bed, a food and water bowl, and lots of love.
Greyhounds for Every Kind of Home
We have a variety of greyhounds ready for foster who are suited to homes with:
• Another dog for company
• A backyard
• No other dogs
• No kids
• Young kids
• Older kids
Please note: For this campaign, we cannot guarantee greyhounds who are cat-friendly, apartment-suitable, or ideal for elderly carers. Numbers for these home types are extremely limited and these dogs will be matched to the most suitable carer.
Fall in Love? Adoption Fees Are Waived!
If you decide you can’t part with your foster hound—great news! If you've stated that your interested in adopting during this campaign in your application, we'll match you with one of our adopt ready hounds that can you can adopt if you fall in love with them! And even better, we'll waive our adoption fee for any greyhounds adopted by their carers during this foster campaign
Ready to Foster?
Submit your interest via our Easter foster Google form and be sure to answer all the questions. Every carer will need to complete an online induction prior to being matched to their Easter greyhound.
Our fosters will start heading out to their homes the week of March 23rd and look to return to GAP three-weeks later during the week of April 13th.
Applications close 8am, Wednesday 11th March 2026.
