GAP 30th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate an incredible 30 years of GAP! Whether you’ve adopted, fostered, volunteered, or followed our journey from afar, this is for you!
Thirty years.
Twenty thousand greyhounds.
And countless lives transformed — dogs and humans.
To celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re hosting a 30th Birthday Party for the Greyhound Adoption Program, and we’d love you to be part of it.
📍 Abbotsford Convent
🕗 8am, Monday 16 March
🐾 Free, family‑friendly and open to all
Whether you’ve adopted, fostered, volunteered, or followed our journey from afar, this event is a celebration of you and the incredible greyhounds who have found — or are still waiting for — their forever homes.
And there’s something special planned…
At the party, a well‑known Australian personality will be adopting GAP’s 20,000th greyhound!
Who will it be? Join us live to find out.
Expect:
✔️ Meet‑and‑greets with GAP greyhounds
✔️ Live music and giveaways from the Nova Street Team
✔️ Coffee, treats and family‑friendly activities
✔️ A chance to mingle with fellow greyhound lovers
✔️ Plenty of long noses and wagging tails
Meet our dogs ready for adoption
All greyhounds adopted from GAP are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and health checked.

Vegas ARP
Meet Vegas, a sweet girl with a big personality. Vegas is personable and affectionate, with a puppyish and playful side. She likes zoomies, treats and loves people. Vegas may suit living with medium or large dogs and may be ok being in a household with kids 10+. If you are looking for an outgoing, friendly and eager to please girl. Vegas is the greyhound for you!
This dog is part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). We have behavioural and health assessed this lovely dog, and they will remain with their racing owners until they find an adoptive home, at which point they are brought back into GAP. This means that should you be interested in adopting this dog, we are bringing the dog into GAP on the understanding that you will be adopting this particular dog, and not other dogs currently in our care.
