He is a bit puppy at heart and is still learning how to play but we think he will settle when he is in his new home. Pawfect may suit living with children 10 and over and another medium or larger play buddy to show him the ropes.

Step 2 - Information gathering

We'll have a friendly chat to learn more about your lifestyle, preferences, and what you're looking for in a greyhound.

Step 3 - Meet the greyhounds

Visit one of our adoption centres to meet the greyhounds and spend time finding the right match for you.

Step 4 - Welcoming your greyhound home

Once approved, you’ll bring your new greyhound home with helpful info on their care and medical history.

Step 5 - Ongoing support

Our support doesn’t end at adoption - we’re here for you and your greyhound every step of the way.

This dog is part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). We have behavioural and health assessed this lovely dog, and they will remain with their racing owners until they find an adoptive home, at which point they are brought back into GAP. This means that should you be interested in adopting this dog, we are bringing the dog into GAP on the understanding that you will be adopting this particular dog, and not other dogs currently in our care.

With his eager to please attitude and loving personality, Riverton is the kind of companion who will fit beautifully into a home that is looking for a social and affectionate dog. Riverton has a low-grade heart murmur, which requires no medication, and doesn't affect his day-to-day life. He also had corns treated at out clinic at GAP, which have healed up well.

Passionfruit

6 years old

Passionfruit is just as adorable as her name is. She is unique in that she was born with a shorter tail than most of her greyhound pals. She is sweet, friendly and can act like a puppy at times even though she is 6 years old. She does settle down after her initial excitement. Passionfruit may suit living with or without a robust canine brother of similar size and children aged 10 years and older. Whilst in our care, Passionfruit had an infected vulva which we have treated with antibiotics, and the infection cleared up.
