As part of Mission: Adoptable, a week-long focus on nine Victorian adoption agencies, we spent a few hours at GAP’s Tullamarine facility meeting some of the greys that have been with us for a while, so that we might find their retirement homes this week.
First up, you really should meet Spirit. She’s nearly three years old, but there’s still a fair bit of playful puppy in her. She would be happy with another canine mate, and kids ten years and over. Spirit has been with GAP for 126 days and cannot wait to climb up on your couch and lap up your attention…
Zoe is a lovely young lady with a bubbly personality. She is outgoing, friendly and happy girl who is easy to get along with. Zoe will be happiest in a home with another medium or large canine companion. She’s been with GAP for 164 days and we can’t understand why she hasn’t found her retirement home!
Then there’s Hussy. He used to be called Huss, but he’s been giving a little cheek so Hussy seems about right! He’s a dog that eats, sleeps and breathes FUN. Huss may be okay to live as an only dog or with another medium or large sized doggo friend and may also suit living with children 10 years and older. A back yard would also be good – this boy is a zoomie specialist! He’s a dag.
These three gorgeous doggos are available now or come and meet them – and all of the others – this weekend when the Tullamarine Kennels, open weekend at 444 Melrose Drive, from 10 until 3 both days. No appointment is needed, just call in and find your next best friend.
As a special gift, Greyhounds adopted from GAP this week will also come with a 4-kilogram bag of Royal Canin dog food, a collar, lead and coat – plus, the adoption fee is just $50.
