No, we are not the national chain of Greyhound buses, however GAP does have a new method of getting your new fur-ever friends to you during metropolitan Melbourne’s Stage 4 lockdown.
Much like your favourite uber eats restaurant, GAP now delivers!
That’s right, adoptions and foster placements will continue during the next six weeks of Stage 4 restrictions, and our dedicated and friendly staff will be delivering dogs directly to people’s homes.
As this is the first time we have tried something like this, we ask you to please bear with our friendly GAP staff as we are still working out logistics around this initiative. However, we are endeavouring to make sure the process is easy, simple, and safe for you, our staff and our greyhounds.
Our plan at the moment is to head to metro Melbourne each Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with newly adopted greyhounds and foster placements that have been matched with adopters and foster carers.
So watch this space and keep an eye out for our GAP greyhound bus around Melbourne over the coming weeks!
And, as always, be sure to stay tuned to the gap.grv.org.au and the GAP Facebook Page for new greyhounds available for adoption. We update the list every Monday and Thursday from 10:30am!
