GAP’s first ever twilight adoption session, held last Friday in Seymour, exceeded expectations, opening up the possibility of more events being held in the later time slot.
“It was a great success with 25 greyhounds finding loving homes on the day, most of which took place in the evening,” announced GRV’s Re-homing Manager, Sean Stanton.
The twilight session ran from 4-8pm at GAP’s headquarters, located just over an hour north of Melbourne’s CBD.
“People took up the opportunity to head to Seymour on Friday night to meet some greyhounds with a view to potentially bringing one home,” Stanton said.
“It was a wonderful event with people welcoming these beautiful animals into their lives.”
“One of the advantages of adopting on a Friday night is that it gives their greyhound a chance to settle in over the weekend before people have to go back to work.”
GAP’s next “SPECIAL ADOPTION DAY” (Adoption fees waived) will be this Saturday in Seymour from 10am-3pm.
