First Gippsland adoption day a success

24 greyhounds found their furever homes at the first ever adoption day at the Warragul Greyhound Racing Club. Over 200 people attended the adoption day looking to find a new family member or more information on the Greyhound Adoption Program.

Rob and Laura from Cranbourne North had been waiting since 5:00am to adopt Graham. The couple travelled to Seymour last Tuesday and instantly fell in love with the brindle boy.

‘It was his beautiful gentle and kind nature. He is so placid but still has playful puppy nature about him’ Laura said.

Bonded pair Mickey and Peka found a new home with Melissa and Andy and their son Elijah. The family attended the event to find out more information about the program but they couldn’t deny the connection they had with the pair.

‘We had always wanted to have two dogs and our friend who has a couple of GAP dogs couldn’t speak highly enough of the breed’.
