Register now for our upcoming adoption day

MAKE next Saturday the day to find your new family pet as the Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) gets set to host its second adoption day of the year.

A minimum of 30 greyhounds will be up for adoption at Sandown Greyhound Racing Club next week after 48 dogs found their forever homes during an adoption day at Seymour on January 8 this year.

The event on March 4 will kick off at 1pm until 3pm with GAP staff on hand to help match you and your family to the right greyhound, and provide you will all the information you need.

GAP Manager Larissa Darragh encouraged people who have considered adopting a greyhound to come along.

“If you are looking to adopt a greyhound, or just want to meet some up close and personal, we encourage people to attend these events as it’s a great way to see if a greyhound is the right dog for you.

“Greyhounds are lovely dogs – as a rule they are easy-going, lazy, loving, quirky and generally an all-round great dog,” she said.

Registration is preferred prior to the day, and can be done by visiting http://bit.ly/2lagPIZ.

You can also sign up at the event.
