Our kennels are bursting at the seams!

Our Christmas Foster campaign was so successful, we thought Easter might be another good time to ask you to open your homes to one of our lovely greyhounds so they can spend Easter in a home instead of our kennels.
The Easter holiday is a time for relaxation and fun, spent with family and friends. Our mission is to place as many of our greyhounds into homes for the holiday season to be a part of a family. Can you help?
We’re looking for all types of homes; full time workers, part time workers, families, medium/large dogs, or no other dogs. Unfortunately, we will not have greyhounds who are suitable to be living with cats, small dogs or in apartments.
We have our regular Melbourne foster runs happening every Wednesday and Saturday in April, with the last pick-up day being Wednesday 5th April from Sandown or Easter Saturday 8th April from Tullamarine.
Returns will need to be organised for the first week after Easter from the 15th April with the last return date being 22nd April.
Specific pick-up options are:
• Saturday 1st April, Sandown Greyhound Club, View Road Car Park, Springvale from 10:30am-11.00am
• Saturday 1st April, GAP Tullamarine, 444 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine from 1pm-1.30pm
• Wednesday 5th April, Sandown Greyhound Club, View Road Car Park, Springvale from 11.15am -11.45am
• Wednesday 5th April, GAP Tullamarine, 444 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine from 1pm-1.30pm
• Saturday 8th April, GAP Tullamarine, 444 Melrose Drive, Tullamarine from 10am-3.30pm

• GAP Seymour, 298 Goulburn Valley Highway Seymour or Tullamarine by appointment Monday to Saturday 9am-3.45pm (if you choose this option, please let us know in the email your preferred date and time).
If you would like to help us out on our mission, please get in contact Christine at fostercare@grv.org.au and we’ll send you an Easter Foster Care Agreement to sign which contains a few questions to help us match you with the perfect Easter Egg-noodle dog.
All dogs going out to non-foster care volunteers and public will have passed their GAP assessments and will be ready for adoption.
How many fosters can we get into homes over Easter?
Let’s do this, friends!

Muffin ARP
Muffin is a delightful burst of joy wrapped in a pretty greyhound package. Sweet, friendly, and wonderfully outgoing, she approaches life with bright enthusiasm and a wagging tail that never seems to stop. An affectionate and personable girl, Muffin loves making eye contact and clearly wants to please, forming quick and meaningful connections with everyone she meets. Her puppyish nature shines through in her playful antics and excitable spirit, making her an absolute delight for those who enjoy a lively and affectionate companion.
Muffin would thrive in a home that can match her energy and embrace her extroverted personality. She may suit living with or without a robust, playful canine companion of similar size and would do well with children aged 10 years and older. With her love of running and playing, Muffin will be happiest in a home with a backyard where she can stretch her legs and burn off her joyful energy. For anyone seeking a fun-loving, devoted, and engaging companion, Muffin is ready to fill your days with laughter and affection.
Muffin is a part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). We have behavioural and healthassessed this lovely dog, and they will remain with their racing owners untilthey find an adoptive home, at which point they are brought back into GAP. Thismeans that should you be interested in adopting this dog, we are bringing thedog into GAP on the understanding that you will be adopting this particulardog, and no other dogs currently in our care.
