Ruffey Lake Park Biggies, Whippies and Iggies Walk

Ruffey Lake Park Biggies, Whippies and Iggies Walk is an initiative of Rehomed Retired Racers

This is not a general walk but specifically aims to provides an opportunity for confident Biggies, Whippies and Iggies to mix with their less confident and timid fur friends.

The walk is designed to help timid, anxious and shy dogs to gain confidence in a non threatening environment and learn about being brave and happy in a social situation.

The Walk also provides an opportunity for potential owners to come along and meet these outstanding animals, chat with owners and take one for a "test drive" in the beautiful surrounds of Ruffey Lake Park Doncaster.

The group meets at The Boulevarde car park on the first Saturday and the third Sunday of the month @ 9.30am for a 10.00am start.

Check out that head tilt—how cute is he? Shadow is an affectionate pup who loves attention but is just as happy to relax on his own. Recently, he graduated from our Prison Partnership Program, where he spent four weeks learning essential life skills to help him thrive in his new home. Shadow has a unique feature that makes him extra special: his tail is quite short! Why? Because he’s such a happy guy that he wagged it a little too enthusiastically into things he shouldn’t have. We think it adds to his charm! Shadow would do best in a calm, adult-only home, as loud environments aren’t his favorite. He might also enjoy living with another medium or large dog—provided they’re sturdy enough to handle his goofy bursts of energy. A secure backyard is a must for this playful boy! This dog is not cat tolerant.
