Texas is a handsome, sweet-natured boy with a friendly and personable disposition. Quiet and polite, he enjoys spending time with his people and often seeks eye contact, looking for reassurance and connection. At times he can be a little submissive and slightly anxious, but his eagerness to please and gentle nature make him a lovely companion. Texas walks well on lead and approaches life with a calm, thoughtful attitude. When Texas is feeling comfortable, his playful side shines through. His tail seems to wag non-stop, especially when soft toys are involved, and he loves the occasional zoomie around the backyard. He may suit living with or without a medium to large canine companion and could be a good match for children aged 10 years and older. As he enjoys having space to move and play, Texas will require a home with a secure backyard where he can stretch his legs, play with his toys, and continue growing in confidence. Texas has successfully completed some further training in our onsite behavioural rehabilitation program and is now ready for adoption!

Visit one of our adoption centres to meet the greyhounds and spend time finding the right match for you.

Step 4 - Welcoming your greyhound home

Once approved, you’ll bring your new greyhound home with helpful info on their care and medical history.

Step 5 - Ongoing support

Our support doesn’t end at adoption - we’re here for you and your greyhound every step of the way.

This gorgeous boy is the definition of laidback, preferring a relaxed lifestyle filled with comfortable beds, tasty treats and the company of his favourite people. Quiet and polite, Polar takes life at his own pace and brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. While Independent at times, Polar enjoys building meaningful connections and has a lovely habit of seeking eye contact with those he trusts. Quietly affectionate rather than demanding of attention, he's the kind of companion who is happiest simply sharing space with his family. Friendly and personable, Polar has a sweet, gentle nature that makes him a pleasure to be around. Polar is also quite the foodie and never misses an opportunity to enjoy a meal or a well-earned snack. Combined with his wonderfully relaxed outlook on life, this has resulted in him becoming a delightfully chunky boy who is more than happy to leave the zoomies to the youngsters and focus on perfecting the art of lounging instead. If there were an Olympic event for napping, Polar would be a strong contender! With his calm temperament and low-key lifestyle, Polar may be well suited to apartment living, provided he has his daily walks and plenty of cosy spots to stretch out and relax. Suitable for a home with children aged 5 years and older, Polar is searching for a family who will appreciate his gentle nature, quiet affection and talent for being the perfect couch companion. Polar has an old hock fracture with a screw present. We have done xrays to confirm it is stable, and he isn't in pain or lame.

Lynette is a sweet, affectionate Greyhound with a playful streak and a big personality. She loves stretching her long legs during a good zoomie session and is always happy to lean in for a butt scratch. Lynette has a charming habit of rubbing up against her people like a cat, making it clear when she's enjoying your company. While she loves affection on her own terms, she can also be touch-sensitive at times and appreciates having her boundaries respected. She's a wonderful mix of loving companion and independent spirit. Lynette has an auto immune disease of the eyes called "Pannus." this is controlled with daily eye drops. She also has a low-grade heart murmur, which doesnt affect her day-to-day life, and doesn't require medication. Lynette would be best suited to a home with adults or children aged 10 years and over who can understand her cues and give her space when needed. She is not suited to apartment living and would love a home with room to stretch out and enjoy regular exercise. Lynette could thrive as an only dog, soaking up all the attention for herself, or she may enjoy sharing her home with a compatible canine friend. She may also be able to live with a cat, pending appropriate introductions. If you're looking for a gentle, quirky Greyhound with plenty of love to give, Lynette could be the perfect match.
