Jerry is a gorgeous greyhound with a heart as big as his smile. Sweet, friendly, and happily outgoing, Jerry loves being around his people and soaks up affection like a pro. He’s a bit adorably uncoordinated and doesn’t always know where his long legs are going, which only adds to his charm. Jerry would thrive in a home with adults or confident kids aged 5+, where there’s plenty of room for him to stretch out and enjoy life. Jerry is best suited as the only dog, or with a calm, compatible dog friend who appreciates his gentle nature. Because of his size and clumsiness, he’s not suited to homes with elderly or frail people or older, delicate dogs. Jerry cannot live with cats, and apartment living isn’t a good match for him—he’ll be happiest in a secure home with space to move. If you’re looking for an affectionate, happy greyhound to share your days (and your couch), Jerry might be your perfect match.

Step 2 - Information gathering

We'll have a friendly chat to learn more about your lifestyle, preferences, and what you're looking for in a greyhound.

Step 3 - Meet the greyhounds

Visit one of our adoption centres to meet the greyhounds and spend time finding the right match for you.

Step 4 - Welcoming your greyhound home

Once approved, you’ll bring your new greyhound home with helpful info on their care and medical history.

Step 5 - Ongoing support

Our support doesn’t end at adoption - we’re here for you and your greyhound every step of the way.

Puddles is not only gorgeous but after his initial enthusiasm and excitement, he settles down and is quite a chilled dog. He is a friendly boy to all he meets. Puddles loves travelling in the car and is up for many road trips with his family. Puddles may suit living with or without a canine pal of medium/large in size and children aged 10 years and older. Sorry no apartments for Puddles.

Chloe can be a little submissive at times, but her puppyish personality shines through, especially when she's feeling comfortable and happy. she also has a very cute white tip on her tail. Chloe would suit a home on her own or with medium to large dogs. She's best suited to a home without old dogs or people, as she can still be a bit bouncy. Chloe will need a backyard to stretch her legs. Chloe also may suit children aged 10+.

He can be a little boisterous and excitable at times, but that just adds to his charm. Snoopy has a quirky side and a fun nature, making him an enjoyable companion to have around. Snoopy thrives on attention and enjoys being close to his people, happily leaning into you for pats whenever he gets the chance. He has also successfully completed a behavioural rehabilitation program, which has helped him continue to grow into the wonderful dog he is today. Snoopy may suit a home as an only dog where he can soak up all the attention, or potentially with medium to large dogs. He may also be suitable to live with children 10+. Due to his excitable nature, Snoopy will need a secure, enclosed backyard set away from high levels of stimulation, where he can relax and feel comfortable. Snoopy has had a hock fracture, prior to coming into GAP. He had hardware in place, which we have removed whilst in our care.

This quiet boy is friendly, personable, and loves a bit of affectionate, often leaning into people for comfort. While he can be a little cautious at times, he takes things at his own pace and builds trust beautifully. We think Julian will be best in a home with a canine companion; he will suit a home with medium or large dogs. He also may suit a household with children aged 10+.

Angel ARP

Angel is a lovely female greyhound with a sweet, friendly nature and an outlook that’s as sunny as her name suggests. She is outgoing and confident, greeting people with warmth and charm, and she adores human affection. Angel enjoys being part of the action, whether that’s following you around the house or leaning in for pats —she’s a true people-dog who thrives on connection and companionship.

Angel maybe suited to a home with adults or families with children aged 10 and over who can return her affection respectfully. She may be ok to live as an only dog, soaking up all the love, or along side a compatible medium to larger male canine companion. With her affectionate personality and easy confidence, Angel is ready to bring joy, love, and gentle fun to her forever home.

Angel is part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). We have behavioural and health assessed this lovely dog, and they will remain with their racing owners until they find an adoptive home, at which point they are brought back into GAP. This means that should you be interested in adopting this dog, we are bringing the dog into GAP on the understanding that you will be adopting this particular dog, and no other dogs currently in our care.

Peter

7 years old

Peter is a friendly, outgoing, and confident male greyhound who loves meeting people and being part of the action. He has completed behavioural rehabilitation training and has shown great progress, though he will still need continued guidance to polish his manners. Peter’s enthusiastic personality makes him a fun and engaging companion for adopters who enjoy an interactive dog with plenty of character. Peter is best suited to a home with adults or children aged 10 and up. He can live as an only dog or with a medium to large canine companion but is not suitable for homes with cats or small dogs. Due to his size, energy, and ongoing need for structure, he is not recommended for homes with elderly residents. With consistency and a confident household, Peter will thrive into a loyal and rewarding lifelong companion. Peter has had a dislocated toe prior to GAP entry. He bears weight on this limb and the toe is stable and not causing pain. He also has an auto immune disease that affects the eyes, called "Pannus". The symptoms are controlled with daily eye drops.

She would thrive in a home with adults or children aged 10+, where her lively nature and playful energy can be appreciated and guided. Alice would be best suited as an only dog, or with a calm medium to large canine companion who can handle her confident style. She is not cat friendly and will need a securely fenced backyard to burn off her energy and relax afterwards—apartment living isn’t for her. Due to her strength, excitement, and enthusiasm for life, she’s not suitable for elderly adopters. In the right home, Alice will be a devoted, entertaining, and affectionate companion who brings joy and personality in equal measure.

Rocky ARP

How pretty is Rocky? He has the whole world in his paws with hat adorably cute head tilt! Rocky is a very friendly, outgoing and confident boy who loves treats and is happy to hang out with his people. He can be enthusiastic at times when playing with other dogs so he may be better suited to a home with a robust medium or large canine companion, or may even suit living as an only dog. He may be happy living with children aged 10+ and full time workers.

This dog is part of our Assisted Rehoming Program (ARP). ARP dogs are kept with their racing owners until they find an adoptive home, at which point they are brought back into GAP. This means that should you be interested in adopting this dog, we are bringing the dog into GAP on the understanding that you will be adopting them. As such, you will not be able to meet any other dogs, as you otherwise would be able to.
