Let’s celebrate Christmas in July with a GREYHOUND!

Santa and the team at GAP agree that greyhounds are the gift that keeps on giving which is why we are hosting a very special Christmas in July Adoption Extravaganza at GAP Tullamarine.

The two-day adoption event will be held at GAP Tullamarine on Saturday July 22 and Sunday, July 23 from 9am – 2pm.

We have more than 50 greyhounds looking to spend Christmas in July and beyond with their forever families.

Apart from finding your new four-legged best friend, you will also receive an adorable Christmas toy, winter coat, GAP lead, GAP Collar and a photo in front of the Christmas tree.

Adoption fee just $100.

Help us make a greyhounds Christmas wishes come true – please come next weekend to find your new very best friend <3

This delicious girl has her eyeliner on and is ready to hit the streets and show off her glamourous looks! Maybe even stopping for a bite to eat at your favourite Italian spot! Miss Ravioli is not only beautiful, she is sweet, kind and affectionate. She can be a little reserved at first but soon warms up and leans in for a cuddle. We think she may suit living with children10 and over and maybe even another medium or larger male canine for company. We also think she would be best off in a home that has a yard as she is still only young and can take her time to adjust to new environments.

She can come across as a tad shy and puppyish to begin with but doesn't take her long to let her lovely personality shine bright. JIMINY CRICKET! Its the next love of you life waiting for you to come get her! Our Cricket is a absolute sweetheart that everyone falls in love with. She is quiet, sensible, laidback and gentle, but then when you bring her toys out she is a bouncy, fun, excited girl that loves to play (she is still trying to master the part where she brings the toys back to you though!). Cricket has spent sometime learning about other breeds of dogs and how to greet them and is ready to show off her new skills. She may suit many homes including an apartment or even with an older owner. She may also like living with Children 5+ and another medium or larger male companion. Cricket has Pannus, an autoimmune disease of the eyes. this is controlled and maintained with daily drops. He also has an old elbow fracture, which has some arthritis in it. Meet the gorgeous Harriet or affectionately known as "Harry" for short. She has a beautiful soft and healthy coat; you'll want to pat and cuddle her all day long. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, she loves people more than anything! Harriet is a placid girl once she gets her 5 minutes of energy out, a daily walk is a must! Harriet may suit living with or without a canine pal of similar size and will do best in a house without children. Bort

Bort is one of our not so brave soldiers here at GAP. He is still finding his feet and things are a bit scary at the moment. Dont let that fool you though, he loves people and will come and lean on you for pats and cuddles and really wants to be the bravest boy he can be. We think a nice quite home that has the patience to let him explore the world at his pace will be the perfect match for him and one without children as loud noises are a bit overwhelming. We also think he may suit living with another dog of any size that can show him that the world isnt so scary! Will you be Bort's home in shining armour? We know the best is yet to come with his handsome man.

Rocco

This boy is such a smoochy, loving, happy and playful dog that he will have you laughing everyday at his silly antics and feeling loved when he is leaning on you looking for more pats. Rocco may suit a family with children 10+, a backyard to run around in and possibly another canine play mate of any size as long as they are not frail or old as Rocco is a bouncy boy! Rocco may also suit living with full time workers. He has a condition in both his eyes, which over time may cause vision reduction. There are no current treatments for this condition and won't impact his loveable nature in the home.

Meet Wolf! He is a young boy who can be a bit unsure of new environments and situations. Once he is comfortable, he allows his true colours to shine through and is puppyish, playful and affectionate. Wolf appears to have some issues with his vision, so he will need a special home who can manage this over the course of his life. Wolf may suit living with or without a canine pal of similar size and older children aged in their teens. Wolf has low vision, which isn't expected to get any worse. He doesn't require medication for this. He will be adopted out with a approval for a follow up appointment with an eye specialist, paid for by GAP.
