Big weekend in Seymour for GAP

72 greyhounds found new homes during GAP’s Three Day Adoption Weekend at Seymour this weekend.
“We are so proud that more than 70 families have had the opportunity to welcome a greyhound into their lives,” GAP Adoption Manager Larissa Hubbard said.
The Three Day Adoption Weekend kicked off on Friday, with 34 greyhounds rehomed on the opening day.
“The homes our greyhounds are going into ranged from apartments to acreage and it goes to show just how adaptable they are.”
GAP greyhounds go into homes fully vaccinated, desexed and temperament tested for a fee of $100, but during the Three Day Adoption Weekend the fee was waived.
“There was lots of cheers when long term resident Harvey Crumpet found his match,” Larissa said.
“It was going to take a particular environment for Harvey, now Scotty, but our matching process and the heart of his new owner worked as one to provide the best outcome.”
Every day is Adoption Day at GAP, who have two adoption facilities (Seymour and Tullamarine).
“In the coming days we will have more greyhounds available on our website as they complete their assessments and health checks.”
