Peggy-Lou Atherton

Peggy-Lou is the perfect example of how busy people can still have an enriching relationship with greyhounds as a foster carer, with her enthusiasm truly valuable to the Greyhound Adoption Program.
Peggy-Lou is one of the most valued foster carers in the Greyhound Adoption Program network. Since fostering her first greyhound Gracie in 2012, Peggy-Lou has fostered 19 greyhounds in that time and is always extremely thorough with her assessment.
She is a very busy community health worker and also a keen water and snow skier. Having the ability to foster greyhounds and prepare them to be pets is not only something that is great for stress relief, but also fits in perfectly with her busy lifestyle.
Peggy-Lou greets life with good humour and enthusiasm and has a bright and bubbly personality, which suits the greyhounds she usually fosters. She can regularly be seen at Greyhound Adoption Program promotional events and is always willing to have a chat about greyhounds.
