Matches aplenty at Geelong adoption day

Fourteen greyhounds found their forever homes at a GAP Adoption Day in Geelong on Saturday.

A total of 18 greyhounds were available for adoption on the day, with around 70 prospective adopters in attendance.

“It was certainly a well-attended event,” said GAP Manager Larissa Hubbard.

“There were only four greyhounds that missed out on being adopted on the day, one of which (Kyle) is being adopted today.

Rubino, Teejay and Taylor were the others not to be adopted, with the trio returning to GAP until they find their forever homes.

A surprising element from the event was the distances some people travelled to get there, with one couple from Pearcedale and another from Warrnambool.

GAP’s Tullamarine facility is open Mondays to Saturdays from 9am-2pm – no appointment necessary.
