The next Adoption Day for the Greyhound Adoption Program is fast approaching and is set for Saturday 9th April 2016 – at Sandown Greyhound Racing Club in Melbourne.
This isn’t just a day to adopt greyhounds. If people are thinking about adopting and want to find out more information, this is a great opportunity as staff from the Greyhound Adoption Program will be on hand to answer any of your questions while you meet and interact with some of our placid, friendly greyhounds.

“Having the chance to meet some greyhounds on the day is a crucial step towards people eventually adopting a greyhound in the future.”
“There’s no expectation or pressure to adopt on the day, but Adoption Days provide a great opportunity for people to get a feel for whether a greyhound is the right pet for them,” said GAP Communication Coordinator, Rose Streatfeild.

OUR NEXT ADOPTION DAY…
Date: Saturday 9th April 2016
Time: 1pm to 3pm
Location: Sandown Greyhound Racing Club, View Road, Springvale (Google maps link)
Number of dogs available: There are likely to be 25-30 greyhounds available for adoption on the day. There unfortunately won’t be any cat-tolerant greyhounds available on the day, as these dogs are in such high demand.
Catering: Afternoon tea will be served
Meetings with your existing pet dogs: While generally encouraged, we are unfortunately unable to facilitate meetings between your existing dog and a greyhound at this Adoption Day. We are more than happy for this to happen, however please contact GAP directly (5799 0166) and we can organise to facilitate this on another day.
To Register: Registration to this event is essential. Please call (03) 8329 1124 or email rstreatfeild@grv.org.au and include your contact name, number of people attending, email and postcode.
