Have you always wanted to have a dog but can’t commit to having one full-time … foster care could be the perfect option for you!
GAP is currently looking for foster carers to help get our greyhounds ready for adoption. For the first time we will be holding a Foster Care Drive at our upcoming adoption day at Sandown Greyhound Racing Club on Saturday, 22 June.
Foster care assignments are generally for a period of three weeks and we are looking for carers to help socialise their foster greyhounds by taking them for 1 or 2 walks a day, preferably in areas where they can observe other breeds of dogs at a distance as well as getting them familiar to stairs, carpets, other pets and kids. They must remain on lead.
It doesn’t matter if you work full-time or part-time; have kids or don’t have kids; live in an apartment or house; have other pets or not; GAP is looking for all types of foster carers to match with greyhounds of different personalities.
If being a foster carer is something you would be interested in, please fill out your application here or email fostercare@grv.org.au for more information.
