Last Sunday’s hugely successful Adoption Day in Seymour – where 48 out of 50 greyhounds available for adoption found loving new homes – received some great publicity from WIN News.
“Because welfare is so important to the racing industry we’re having more and more greyhounds coming into our program,” Larissa Darragh, Manager of the Greyhound Adoption Program, said in the report.
“We’ve got greyhounds of all different colours, we’ve got males and females (of) all different ages, some dogs that are good with kids (and) some that are happy to live by themselves, but all of them have got fabulous natures.”
