ADOPTION DAY: Greyhounds spread Christmas cheer

Sunday’s Adoption Day at The Meadows was another successful day for the Greyhound Adoption Program, with 27 greyhounds finding new homes.

The event had a Christmas theme to it with many new adopters taking up the opportunity to have a photo with Santa.

“This was another fantastic Adoption Day with a really good vibe, resulting many people bringing a new pet greyhound home in time for Christmas,” said Greyhound Adoption Program Manager, Larissa Darragh.

GAP’s next Adoption Day will be in 2017 at a date to be confirmed, however people are reminded that they can adopt greyhounds almost every day of the year.

“People don’t have to wait for one of our Adoption Days to adopt a greyhound. They can give us a call and make an appointment to come and meet a number of our greyhounds available for adoption almost any day of the year,” Larissa said.

“We are based in Seymour, which is little more than an hour north of Melbourne, and we also have a Mornington Peninsula location, which is just a short drive from Eastlink.”
