My big day began when I managed to break away from the lead as we went out the door. I ran here
and there and had so much fun smelling everything. I did run back to the man when he called me but
I was distracted by another yummy smell. Then I heard voices far away up the road so I ran up there
to investigate.
What fun! ........There were small people on bikes riding around with their dog Milo (A fat Jack
Russell). As fast as I could I ran up to talk to them, they weren't put off by my muzzle and were
absolutely amazed at how fast I was. Milo wasn't that impressed and wanted to race me ...... we
raced down their driveway and I won!!! Yay for me!!!
The man caught up with me and brought me back to the car. Wendy, my greyhound foster
sister and I jumped into the back of the ute and went for a ride.
As we waited to cross the road cars were speeding past. I wanted to run with them and leapt
into the air as one snazzy red car went past. They laughed at me and told me to pull my head in;
there was no way I could keep up with it for long distances. Bet I could !
We walked around the market and there were lots of people who wanted to scratch my ear and
pat me. Wendy was letting them and looked like she was enjoying it so I let them. No wonder Wendy
enjoys the market... non-stop scratches and pats! There were lots of other animals who, on closer
inspection, smelt like dogs but they looked nothing like me. Most of them were very nice to me. My
favourite was a very low dog with very short legs and a long body (Daschund). The horriblest was a
white dog (West Highland White) who tried to bite my nose through the muzzle. Now I know why we
wear muzzles .......to protect us from these nasties!
We came home and all of us were brought inside by the fire so that the chooks could be let
out . All in all a perfect day .
Love this pet life !!
