Travel no barrier for greyhound adopters

By Philippa Lavery

The Greyhound Adoption Program held an adoption event in Seymour today which resulted in 46 greyhounds finding loving new homes.

Today’s success comes just eight days after GAP Seymour adopted 25 greyhounds at its first ever Twilight adoption event last week.

“It’s pretty extraordinary that we’ve been able to hold two adoption events so close together and adopt so many dogs,” said GRV’s Re-homing Manager, Sean Stanton.

“More people are starting to realise that our Seymour property is just over an hour north of Melbourne, so it really isn’t that far away, and when you get to meet our beautiful greyhounds it certainly makes the trip worthwhile.”

Today’s adopters received a bonus with adoption fees waived.

If you are interested in adopting a greyhound you can make an appointment to visit our Seymour property at https://gap.grv.org.au/contact-us/

Alternatively, there will be another Adoption Day on Sunday 1 December at The Meadows.

You can register your attendance via the form below. For more info, please visit https://gap.grv.org.au/events/greyhound-adoption-day/
