GAP National Volunteer Week Event

The GAP volunteers and foster carers are one in a million and to celebrate their hard work and dedication we treated to them to a day at the Melbourne Aquarium as part of National Volunteer Week.

The theme for National Volunteer Week 2019 was ‘Making a world of difference’ and our volunteers certainly emulate that.

Our volunteers not only help us promote the GAP program to the wider public they also help with fostering our greyhounds to get them ready for adoption and help with enrichment sessions at GAP Seymour.

GRV Acting Board Chair Peita Duncan said it wonderful to celebrate with more than 90 GAP volunteers and foster carers at the aquarium on Sunday.

“It is GRV’s priority that greyhounds are cared for their whole life and it is wonderful that we have a small army of enthusiastic volunteers to help us achieve that,” Ms Duncan said.

“The work that our volunteers do definitely doesn’t go unnoticed, so from everyone at the Greyhound Adoption Program and Greyhound Racing Victoria we would like to say thank you for making a world of difference in rehoming our greyhounds.’’
