Seymour Adoption Day One; done and dusted

71 future dog owners braved the cold today to attend day one of our two-day Seymour Adoption Event. Of the 82 greyhounds looking for their furever homes, 33 were lucky enough to go home to warm couch tonight.

Tomorrow’s session will begin at 10am and run until 3pm with 49 greyhounds available.

Emma and Morgan (pictured) with their newly adopted greyhound Craig, made the trip from Eastern Suburbs for today’s event.

Emma, who is a first time dog owner, wanted to adopt a greyhound due to their sweet and gentle nature.

“Even if you aren’t ready to adopt a greyhound now, this is a great opportunity to talk to staff and volunteers about these wonderful dogs to get to know what they are like,” GAP’s Adoption Manager Larrissa Darragh said.

Entry is free but please go to the GAP website to register online at gap.grv.org.au/events/greyhound-adoption-day/and if you are hoping to take home a greyhound please follow the link (https://goo.gl/F6eeXO) to fill in an application form to help us find the right dog for you.

Information about the greyhounds that will be at the adoption event will be sent to people who register. In the meantime, you can go to gap.grv.org.au to read about dogs that are currently available.
