Prison greyhound Freddie to appear at the Show

Freddie, the 200th greyhound to be fostered through Tarrengower Prison as part of GAP’s Prison Pet Partnership, will make an appearance at the Royal Melbourne Show this Wednesday afternoon.

This is Freddie’s first official promotion since becoming a huge hit with staff and inmates at the low-security female prison in northern Victoria.

Come and say hello to Freddie at the Greyhound Adoption Program stand, located in Channel 7’s Family Fun Pavilion.

“Freddie is such a great pet and I am really looking forward to bringing him to the Show,” said Freddie’s owner, Dean Robertson.

“I’m excited at the opportunity to talk to a large volume of interested people about greyhounds and why they should think about adopting one for themselves.”

“Freddie is such a friendly dog. This will be his first appearance at a GAP event and he’s got such an outgoing personality that I know he’s going to love it.”

The Royal Melbourne Show runs from September 17-27. MORE INFO
