The recent 20th Anniversary of Victoria’s Greyhound Adoption Program – which has led to more than 6,100 adoptions – is a huge win for all involved, and none more so than these amazing animals themselves.

Greyhound Racing Victoria CEO Alan Clayton said he had been pleasantly surprised in his learning of the greyhound breed since assuming his position last August.

“I’ve learned a lot about how wonderful greyhounds are, and what I didn’t know was how calm and gentle they are, and how lazy they are.”

“They make a great pet for people who don’t have a big exercise regime. The program has gone from strength to strength to strength,” Mr. Clayton said.
